Members of STOP as well as other community groups attended the municipal
election debate at Weston Park Baptist Church on October 13, 2022. This event was
hosted by our local Residents’ and Community Associations, including the Mount
Dennis Community Association. At this event, Councillor Frances Nunziata
reaffirmed her support for tunnelling the ECWE and reminded the audience of
the motion she had brought forward to City Council on May 11, 2022
requesting that “Metrolinx undertake an assessment of running the elevated
segment of the ECWE underground and to identify any options that may exist
to accommodate this change.”
