STOP celebrates with East end allies

On October 1, 2022, STOP members joined some groups from the east end of

Toronto, including Toronto Field Naturalists, Toronto Nature Stewards, A Park for All

and many others for a celebration of stewardship and volunteering. The STOP table

was actively visited and we shared our message with those from the east end who

are also concerned about Metrolinx’s negative impact in the Don River area.

We stand in solidarity with other Torontonians who want to protect our precious

urban green spaces against the devastating effects of uncontrolled development.

We are particularly concerned about the provincial government’s Bill 23 which will

strip even more powers from conservation authorities.
