For nearly two months, our Indigenous-led coalition has been burning a Sacred Fire 24/7 in a tipi in west end Toronto. The action is in response to Metrolinx’s plan to run a section of the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE) LRT line through our parkland, destroying 1,485 trees and wildlife habitat. On Saturday, March 18 we erected our second tipi.
